New Domain Checklist

When you start a new domain, you need to do routine tasks.

Before you acquire a domain, check the history of the domain.

1. Wayback Machine
2. Check the domain on VirusTotal
3. Also check certificate transparency logs.

After you acquire the domain:

1. Add DNS
   • Add MX records
   • Add SPF, DKIM, DMARC
   • Add A records
   • Add AAAA records
   • CAA records
2. Add to Have I Been Pwned
3. Setup RedSift Monitoring
4. Add to Google Search Console
5. Add to Google Postmaster
6. Add to HSTS Preload List
7. Enable DNSSEC
